FAQ
- 1. Why is there a discrepancy between the temperature displayed on the freezer panel and the FN reading?
A: The different positions of the temperature sensors inside the freezer can cause this issue. It is not unusual to see a 20-degree difference between top and bottom compartments, or a 5-degree difference by moving the FN temperature probe deeper inside the same compartment.
Usually, a freezer's own internal temperature sensor is at the bottom, while FN's temperature sensor is often at the top. The top compartment is always warmer and more volatile due to some factors such as door opening and compressor failure. Most of the time FreezerNanny prefers the top location because it is more sensitive.
Some freezers have multiple internal temperature sensors. For example, Follett REF20 Upright has four temperature sensors. Some are for the control module. Users can select one of the others for the display panel.

- 2. What are the two numbers FN will call and send text from?
A: FN calls from 1-734-272-4568 and send text from 1-888-889-5418. We use two telecommunication vendors to maximize reliablity.
It is recommended to add the two numbers in your contacts or you might miss important alert at night. Only FN robot will call you in case of alert.
